The inaugural After Hours in the Barnyard event at Lolly Bee Bayou attracted lots of local residents Saturday night. Located on Cumberland Drive, Lolly Bee Bayou is a barnyard in Fairview that makes a home for donkeys, chickens and lots of happy hours for owner Tara Jo Kirk, who also served as the event host.
On a mission to build a community of love, the Kirks hosted After Hours offering Honky Tonk, Country and Cajun bands, plus food and some crisp autumn air.
Kirk described the night as “magical,” adding, “We’ve been bursting with pure joy over getting to share our barnyard with so many sweet hearts, sharing stories, meeting new friends, warming up by the fire, licking plates of gumbo, and the amazing overall great energy.”
Entertainment included honky tonk music from Zachariah Malachi, country and cajun music from Nicholas Beaudoing of Runner of the Woods, backed by the Country and Western AF Band from Nashville.
Kirk took to social media to express her thanks to all for “helping support our musicians, vendors and neighborly fun in Fairview. Hope to see y’all next Spring!”
