This Saturday, October 16, the City of Fairview is making Bowie Nature Park the place to be for family fun, arts, crafts, shopping and entertainment.
All the Fairview fun begins at 9 a.m. when the City of Fairview will host its Inaugural Arts and Craft Fair in Bowie Nature Park. There will be over forty local arts and craft vendors setting up booths under the tall pine trees along with multiple food trucks to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
According to Fairview Community Relations Coordinator Richard Ross, everyone is invited “to come on out to the park to do a little holiday shopping, eat some lunch, take a hike and enjoy our beautiful park right here in the City of Fairview.”
The Arts and Craft Fair will end at 4 p.m., but there is more fun to come in Bowie.
After a September cancellation due to weather, the City of Fairview has rescheduled their Movie in the Park event for this Saturday, July 16.
City staff will set up an outdoor movie screen to show the popular funny family movie “Cars” at 7 p.m..
Park movie guests are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the evening watching the movie in Bowie Nature Park under the stars.
Concessions for the movie will be available beginning at 6 p.m. and all proceeds will help fund the City of Fairview Police Department’s Shop With a Cop Program.
