The Fairview City Commission will hold two public hearing on Thursday night before casting a final vote on a request to rezone approximately 40 acres off Highway 96 North near its intersection with Crow Cut Road for the purpose of building Highbury Pointe, a multi-family residential development.

At the April 1 commission meeting, Khris Pascarella with Pearl Street Partners said Highbury Point will consist of apartments and townhomes at price points below average home price point while not being income restricted like Fairview’s other apartment complexes.

Under New Business, the proposed Bowie Playground will also be on the agenda to discuss formally naming the playground location in Bowie Park and adopting a logo for the playground.

There will also be a board discussion about Bowie Park Perimeter, an Arbor Day Proclamation and reports from the Fire Department, Police Department and City Manager.
