The Williamson County Grand Jury has handed down indictments against a Fairview man for sexual assault on a minor.
In December 2021, the Fairview Police Department received a complaint alleging James Felton, of Fairview, had committed sexual assault against a minor.
Fairview Police began investigating the allegation and executed search warrants. The searches resulted in police recovering evidence implicating Felton.
The facts of the case and evidence were presented to the Williamson County Grand Jury in April. They returned indictments charging Felton with two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
On April 14, Felton was arrested and transported to the Williamson County Jail without bond, pending a court hearing.
According to a Fairview Police social media post, “The Fairview Police Department will make every effort to ensure the safety of all children within our community and use every resource available to seek out any predators that try and harm any child.”
Fairview Police encourage anyone knowing of any child they may be in any danger to reach out to the closest law enforcement agency and report it.
