Fairview Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at 5/3 Bank on Fairview Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. last Tuesday morning.

According to police, an unidentified male with no visible weapon presented the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect exited the bank with $200 and was last seen fleeing on foot. His vehicle or direction of travel was unknown.

According to Fairview Police Chief Zach Humphreys, “They (the bank) waited ten minutes to call 911, so suspect had ample time to leave the area before we were notified.”

Fairview area schools were immediately placed on lockdown as police searched the area.

As of press time, no suspect has been apprehended, and the investigation has been turned over to the FBI.
