For the first time ever, the Friends of the Williamson County Public Library are holding a Friends-Members-Only Book Sale.

The inaugural event will be held at the Main Branch of WCPL, located at 1314 Columbia Avenue in Franklin, on Friday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Book categories for the sale include fiction, non-fiction, children’s and young adult, as well as history, biography, cookbooks, and many other categories. All the books, which are in good condition, will be sold at bargain prices ranging from 50 cents to $3.

Only members of the WCPL Friends group will be allowed at the sale, but anyone can become a member at the door.

Friends Membership Extended

The WCPL Friends group is also running a one-time offer, extending membership benefits through December 31, 2021, by joining now.  This offer extends membership by five months for anyone who joins after August 1, 2020.  Individual membership is $15, and Family membership is $25.

Friends Book Store

While at the Library, WCPL Friends are invited to step into the newly expanded Friends’ Book Store with more shelves, books, and aisle space.  New books are added weekly, bargain-priced from 50 cents to $3.  If you can’t make the book sale, stop by the year-round bookstore to stock up on your next great read.

As a reminder, the Williamson County Public Library is a county-owned building, so masks are still required for entry along with all other county facilities.
