Williamson County Schools recently celebrated its hardworking staff members by honoring the WCS Classified Employees of the Year — and one Fairview area name was tops on the list.

Each school and department selected a classified employee to honor, followed by WCS naming the system-wide Classified Employee of the Year for the elementary, middle and high school levels.

On February 8, Superintendent Jason Goldent surprised the system-wide winners with a visit and their award. That’s when Westwood Elementary’s Mona White received her WCS’ Elementary Classified Employee of the Year Award.

WES’ bookkeeper, White said, “I am truly honored!” She continued, “I am amazed that I would be selected to represent this wonderful group of hardworking individuals who make up the Elementary Classified Employees of Williamson County.”

Other Classified Employees of the Year from Fairview area schools include Fairview Elementary’s Pam Best, a technology assistant; Fairview Middle’s Marguerite Lassan, a Student Support Services Assistant; and Fairview High’s Meg Mastroianni, a math and Student Support Services teaching assistant.
