The Friends of Bowie Nature Park will host their quarterly Member Meeting on Saturday, June 25 at the Bowie Nature Center from 9 a.m. — 10 a.m. On the agenda will be several park-related topics needing member input.
“In January, the board decided to hold quarterly instead of monthly meetings for 2022. Our hope is that opting for fewer meetings throughout the year will enable more members to attend meetings regularly while balancing other interests and time demands so that we can get input and ideas from a larger pool of members,” explained Mark Schenkel, Friends president.
The Friends of Bowie are also hosting a special meet and greet for potential new members from 10:15 a.m. – 11 a.m.
“We are extending an open invitation to any non-members...We welcome the opportunity to talk about ideas folks have for the future of our park,” said Schenkel.
