The FMS Kick Off The Holidays event offered shoppers photo ops with Freddie the Falcon.

Fairview Middle School hosted their Kick Off The Holidays event November 29. The festive fundraising event offered a host of donated items and creative baskets in their silent auction. There was also FMS spirit wear sales, food trucks, holiday wreaths and an on-site wrapping service.

The gift wrapping service raised funds at FMS' Kick Off The Holidays event.

There was even an opportunity to have your photo made with a festive Freddie the Falcon, the school mascot.

The event raised $1,284 for the FMS PTO, which is about 30 percent of their goal for the event.

The FMS PTO advised they still have Falcon Spirit Wear and holiday wreaths available and must sell the wreaths to ensure a profit! You can purchase a wreath and get free delivery to your home by visiting https://fairviewmiddlepto.com/fresh-fraser-fir-wreaths/.

FMS’ Kick Off The Holidays event offered a big selection of Falcon Spirit Wear.

Organizers are optimistic they will reach their goal before school is out for the holidays with a few other fundraisers.

They are hosting Penny Wars and the Sneaker Fundraiser in December. For Penny Wars, all students are encouraged to gather up their loose change and receive additional PBIS points. The Sneaker Fundraiser asks students to donate their gently used sneaker to earn cash.

The FMS PTO is also partnering with local businesses to host Spirit Nights which will be announced on social media where families can dine out or take out food at local restaurants with a percentage of the sales going to FMS PTO.

This year, all the proceeds will be used to help purchase a digital outdoor roadside sign for the school and new scoreboards for the gym.

If any individual or business would like to donate to the FMS PTO fundraising efforts, email fairviewmiddlepto@gmail.com.
